I have a few things to say about this. First of all I'll let you all be the judges of my mates artwork as she is the one being bashed in the thread for a simple question. I have a few things to say about this kind of behavior as it seems to be spreading around lately. My mate has had her name dragged through the mud for stupid mistakes that could easily be fixed, and she is even trying to fix these mistakes for future commisions, but more on that later as I have a few things to say to the people such as this.

What kind of object do you have stuck up your asses?! Maybe I should come to where you live, take a lift and shove it so far down your throat that the peddle comes out of your ass, then I can step on it to cause the lift to expand- maybe it'll severe your spine, but at least you'll GROW UP! If you had an issue with my mates work you could have easily told her and she would have fixed it- your remarks are rude and inconsiderate, and from what I heard from her when she showed you screenies like a good artist does, you had no issues with the progress that was being made! Why didn't you say anything then!?- You had no issue tearing her heart out for a simple question! You could have asked her to easily fix the issues with the ports, but did you say anything? NO YOU DIDN'T! So I suggest you take some needle and thread and sew your mouth shut because it DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE OPENED!

Is she perfect no, does she try her damn hardest to be yes! To everyone who reads this, take a look at those Portraits, look at the detail in the wings, all of that hand done pixel by pixel, look at how smooth the clothing looks, the detail in the hair and fur- The one anthro ports background wasn't completely self made because at the time she didn't know what to do to make one, so she used her eyes and found one that would suit and even compliment the rest of the port- even the person in question knew this and was shown and they didn't say a damn thing against it! So in the second port in question she tried to do her own background that would make it look as if the character was jumping in mid air, Tell me, how is it being half-assed to sit there for hours clicking each individual pixel and doing it over and over until it looks right half-assed? HOW!? Can you make ports as good as hers? Can you dedicate your precious time to making beautiful works of art out of thin air and put your heart and soul into improving for every single person that wishes to own one of these portraits? hmmmm, what's that? NO!? HOLY SHIT I'M SHOCKED! Once again take a look at all of the detail, especially in the anthro port, she tried to make those wings look as real as possible and not some quick drawn fluffy pieces of inaccurate shit!

Her issues are that she took on too much at once, that is why her commissions are going so slow, but she puts her soul into every damn piece she does, she contacts her commissioners and oks every piece, she makes sure that it is approved by the person before finishing it, and makes sure it is as accurate as possible to what the commissioner wants- You could have easily told her the changes and had her change them if you didn't like the ports- it's your fault for not doing so.


To Future Commissioners of Akarui-Kurai:
I am not posting this to scare off commissioners, I am posting this just to defend my mates integrity- she is an amazing artist who tries to keep in contact with all of her commissioners- She wants her art to reflect the visions you have of your characters as close as possible, so she shows screenies of the progress and makes sure everything is okd with them before continuing. She is an AMAZING artist as well as a person, and she deserves more love and respect.

To fix the issue of speed in her work she is going to take less commissions at once to a reasonable amount to ensure that you will all get your ports in a reasonable time, and because of her constant work on ports she is also getting ports done faster with a lot more detail. The main issue was with the way life has been her time for art has diminished, and with the sheer amount (literally over 50 at once) she couldn't get them all done in timely fashion, but this will be remedied very soon.

As far as Backgrounds she is going to be setting up premade backgrounds that she is going to make herself for her commissioners only- so you can see the choices you have beforehand and will also be able to request custom backgrounds if you want to. The premade backgrounds will be panoramic, so you can actually select a "scene" from the background that you would like to have. By having these premade panoramics it will cut the commission time by half and allow her to focus on the character itself- note that custom backgrounds will of course take longer and may be a little more for the extra time it takes. Also she will be adding a selection for couple ports and ports with more than one character (Conjoined and couple) Conjoined, because they are multiple ports will cost more though.

She is trying everything in her power to make it easier for her commissioners, trying to find new ways to speed up the process of her art while still retaining it's detail and integrity. So please show her love.

And for that matter show any artist that works hard and does commissions love- they take time out of their lives to make art for you, they pour their souls into the pieces they make- the least you can offer them (other than money obviously lol) is respect. Art is a luxury and a gift- don't ruin it...

P.S. There was one more thing she was going to do for her commissioners, but I can't remember what in the world it was but when I think of it I will let you all know.

[EDIT] Ok I remember. She's going to have the payment so that you don't have to pay until she shown you the line-art. That way, you can approve the line-art and also see that progress is being made. (Because she has more time, she is able to do this!)
